Sustainable and Renewable Energy Design

Sustainable design is an important part of today’s Built Environment and we play an invaluable role in implementing sustainable engineering solutions with the aid of advanced technologies. During the design process we consider various individual energy efficient measures and technologies that can deliver improved design and building operation, provide better working environments, deliver life cycle cost savings, reduce emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) and reduce the consumption of finite fossil fuels. An integrated approach is taken towards developing engineering services design solutions that will provide improved performance, higher efficiency and will help save energy on a sustainable basis.

Our expertise in renewable, sustainable and low carbon engineering design includes the design and specification of solar water heating, photo-voltaics, geothermal and air source heat pumps, biomass fuel boilers, micro hydroelectric power generation, combined heat and power (CHP), natural ventilation and daylight modelling. Another function of our dynamic thermal modelling department is computational fluid dynamics (CFD). We can create a highly accurate simulation of the environmental conditions within a space based on CO2 concentration, air speed, temperature and humidity levels.
