Bloodsciences Laboratory - University Hospital Limerick

Blood Sciences Laboratory in the University Hospital Limerick underwent a major renovation with new equipment installed in Biochemistry and Haematology Labs. 

Don O’Malley and Partners were approached to do a Mechanical and Electrical design, project management and construction co-ordination for a new Blood Sciences Laboratory.

The project involved the stripping out of old services the installation of a new ventilation and air conditioning, De-ionized water system, new Electrical installation, IT infrastructure and UPS system. The significance of the project was that the entire renovation had to be done without interrupting the operation of the lab during the Covid 19 pandemic.
